THE CONNECTION BETWEEN INITIATIVE AND GOD’S CHARACTER AS SHOWN THROUGH GOD’S BIG STORY
Getting started can sometimes seem like the hardest part of meeting a need. But it actually starts before then. First, we have to see the needs around us. Initiative isn’t just some practical principle; it’s really a spiritual principle that starts with God. God took initiative on our behalf by seeing that our relationship was broken and needed to be fixed. So, God sent Jesus to make it right. And because we are made in God’s image, we are wired to be able to take initiative and get things done, too.
WEEK ONE: God So Loved the World (John 3:16-17)
Bottom Line: God took care of our greatest need.
WEEK TWO: Miriam Takes Initiative (Exodus 2:1-10)
Bottom Line: Look for ways to help the people you love.
WEEK THREE: Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30)
Bottom Line: Look for ways to use what you've been given.
WEEK FOUR: John's Disciples Follow Jesus (John 1:35-45)
Bottom Line: Look for ways to tell others about Jesus.
MEMORY VERSE: "None of you should look out just for your own good. Each of you should also look out for the good of others." Philippians 2:4
We believe kids learn best in a small group environment, therefore, we have designated a specific time out of our Sunday morning schedule just for groups. These life groups give us opportunities to reinforce the main point of the day and talk about actual life application at the individual level. All classes are divided into grade levels for the best developmental engagement.
JumpStart is a class for children who are asking questions about salvation and/or baptism and their parents. It is also for children who have recently accepted Jesus, been baptized, or joined the church by letter. Please register below or contact Lara Wren for more information.

What does it mean to live like Jesus?
Jesus showed us the greatest example of what it looks like to truly value others. Through His life, He taught us how to love, care for, and live in peace with one another. When we follow Him, God’s Spirit helps us do the same—transforming not just our lives but the world around us.
At Kidz Week, kids will discover how to pray, care, teach, and forgive—just like Jesus! Get ready for an exciting week of learning, fun, and faith in action.
