We believe that life with Jesus is about taking steps and continued growth. Your next step may look different than someone else's, and that's ok. Check out the information below to pick the next step that's right for you.

Where do I Start?

REALIZE you’re a sinner.

You think you’re a good person or maybe you don’t. You’ve tried to be the best you can be and do what is right, but maybe you feel like it’s never good enough or that something is missing. God is the only one who can fill that void. No matter how good of a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of God’s desire for us to be Holy, and we sin.

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:23

RECOGNIZE that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you.

You are here for a purpose and not by accident. We were separated from God because of sin in the beginning of the world. But, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who lived on earth, suffered punishment, and died on a cross to pay for our sins when we least deserved it. Three days later, He rose from the dead. Jesus loves you, desires to have a personal relationship with you, and wants to give you eternal life.

God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8

REPENT of your sin & RECEIVE Jesus Christ into your life.

The most important decision in your life will be whether or not you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. This begins with repentance. The word repent means to turn away from sin. You may think that you need to fix things or make things right in your life before you come to Christ, but that’s not true! He wants you to accept Him because He loves you!

If you are ready to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, then
pray this prayer:

“Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the grave so that I might have eternal life in heaven with You. I willingly repent of my sins and ask You to come into my heart and life. Take control of my words, thoughts, and actions. I place all of my trust in You. I accept You as my personal Lord and Savior and this gift of eternal life. Amen.”

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Romans 10:9-10

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16

What isBaptism?

It’s an outward expression of an inward decision. Your next step after following Jesus and asking Him to be your Lord and Savior is baptism. It’s a way of solidifying the most important decision that a follower of Christ makes. We want to celebrate this exciting symbol of spiritual change with you.

Why should I be baptized?

Why does FBCIT fully immerse during baptism?

What about infant baptism?

What about children?

Life Groups

All of us have a desire to connect with others. At FBCIT, this connection happens in life groups. We call them life groups because we do life together. We share our burdens, celebrate victories, and support one another. Most of all, we grow in Christ by studying the unchanging Word of God. We have classes for every age, life stage, and preference. You may want to visit several life groups before deciding on one. All Life Groups are encouraged to have a weekly Bible study in addition to occasional fellowships and mission projects in the community.
